

Hades was first mentioned in the story Hermes told to the Olympian Rangers. Over time, unknown to Hades, Persephone became frustrated by her time in the Underworld each year and began to find ways to betray Hades without him suspecting anything. Eventually, he waited until the belief in the Olympians died and they became weakened and remained on Mt. The Lone Ranger Hades started to attack the Earth that the Olympians loved so much, but said Olympians stopped him time and time again. However, Hades was also afraid of Cronus and feared what might happen if Cronus was to become free. The two even made a deal where Hades' part of the Flame of the Gods was corrupted by Cronus to grant Hades more power in exchange for something unspecified from Hades. The Solstice Siege Because of these feelings, he went to Cronus after the Olympians had trapped him in Tartarus and Cronus became like a mentor to Hades. Love is in the Air He also became convinced that Zeus had cheated at their drawing of lots. However, while fighting Cronus, Hades was the last to receive his Olympian Gems and constantly felt like he was being treated lesser than the others, especially when he received the Underworld as his domain. Most of the events that happened in real Myth also happened to Hades in Olympian Force. Thus, Hades accidently created the seasons. Hades, seeing no other choice, agreed while Demeter swore that any time that Persephone was in the Underworld that no crops would grow. When Zeus discovered what had happened to Persephone, he created a deal between Demeter and Hades: for each seed Persephone ate, that would be one month she would spend in the Underworld.

Hades tricked Persephone into eating some pomegranate seeds, knowing full well that one who ate food in the Underworld would be trapped there forever. When Demeter discovered what happened to her daughter, she made plants and crops stop growing until Persephone was returned to her.

Now enamored with the Nature Goddess, Hades grabbed her and brought her to the Underworld. Deciding to use his arrows to play matchmaker, Eros made Hades fall in love with Persephone. Eros saw Hades and then saw the daughter of Demeter, Persephone. This left Hades with the Underworld as his domain, something he was not happy about.Įventually, Hades got lonely ruling the Underworld alone and went to Earth to find a queen. Poseidon won second and chose the oceans. Zeus won first and chose the skies as his domain, as well as the heavens he got as being the ruler of the Olympians. Once the Olympians, as Hades and his siblings became known as, had won and locked Cronus in Tartarus, the male Olympians Zeus, Poseidon and Hades drew lots to see who would rule what domain. When Zeus eventually freed his siblings from Cronus' stomach, they were all fully grown and went to war with their father and his fellow Titans. As soon as he was born, Hades was eaten by Cronus so he would not be able to overthrow him.

Hades was born as one of the six children of Cronus and Rhea.
